We had an exciting day yesterday celebrating our 9th graders on the girls' basketball team as well as a game with a win! Our DAL team also had a competition and did well! Go Sundevils!!!

Last week our Sound Choir was invited to sing at the Sunset City Senior Christmas Luncheon. They did a fantastic job and made some new friends (except the Grinch).
It's been a busy week for our Sundevils! Orchestra concert, basketball games, and a choir concert. Come support our production Friday and Saturday at 5 and 7 pm each night.

Students, join us for our Ugly Sweater Dance on Friday, December 6th from 3-4 pm in the gym. The cost is $5/student, you can skip the line and pre-pay at lunch on Friday, December 6th. Prizes will be awarded for the ugliest/best sweaters.
We are hiring! We are looking for Student Success Coordinators to come work with our students here at Sunset Junior. Coordinators will work with counselors to provide academic support to a caseload of students along with helping to supervise lunches.

FatBoy Ice Cream Fundraiser! Support Sunset Band and Sound as they prepare to attend their Music in the Parks Festival! Ice Cream can be purchased from any member of Band or Sound from Nov. 4 - Nov. 18. If you can't find someone to buy from, please email Ms. Johnson (sarahjohnson@dsdmail.net) or Mr. Rowley (trowley@dsdmail.net). Ice Cream is $30 a box for 30 ice creams. All proceeds directly fund Sunset Band and Sound. Thank you!

Our Sundevils with no F's, I's, or U's got to attend a dance during Sundevil Academy today. Way to go Sundevils!
Join us at Sunset Junior High this Friday, October 25th, from 5:30-7:30 pm to celebrate the Day of the Dead. Come learn more about the Day of the Dead and support our Latinos in Action program. Admission is free and there will be punch cards available, $10 for 10 games. There will also be face painting, photo booths, arts and crafts stations, and food! Scan the QR code for more information.

It was a great afternoon and evening showcasing some of our Sundevils. The basketball team had their first gane against Centennial Jr., and Orchestra had a concert at Northridge High.
