November 11, 2025 – Sunset Junior High School celebrated academic excellence and leadership during its National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) induction ceremony on Tuesday evening. 98 students in 8th and 9th grades were honored for exemplifying the five pillars of NJHS: scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.
The event recognized students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and a commitment to serving their school and community. Families, faculty, and administrators gathered to applaud the inductees’ hard work and dedication.
The ceremony included the traditional candle-lighting, symbolizing the five pillars, and concluded with students pledging to uphold the values of NJHS. Principal Tami Oliver praised the students for their accomplishments and encouraged them to continue serving our school community.
