Sunset Junior High School is proud to announce that we have officially achieved Level 1 in the High Reliability Schools (HRS) Framework. This milestone was recognized during the 2026 High Reliability Schools Summit, held January 12–14, 2026, at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Level 1 of the HRS framework (Safe, Supportive, and Collaborative Culture) acknowledges schools that have established strong systems ensuring students and staff learn and work in an environment built on trust, consistency, and meaningful collaboration. Achieving this level reflects the dedication and hard work of our faculty, staff, students, and community.

We extend our gratitude to everyone who contributed to this accomplishment. Teachers, administration, support staff, students, and our supportive families made this recognition possible.

Sunset Junior High will continue to work toward higher levels of the HRS framework as we strengthen instructional practices, refine curriculum, and ensure every student receives a highquality educational experience.

Congratulations to our entire Sunset Junior High community on this outstanding achievement!
