Sunset Junior High students represented our school at SheTech Explorer Day, a hands-on STEM exploration event held on February 24, 2026, at the Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy. Hosted by the Women Tech Council, this statewide event brings together thousands of students to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, and math through interactive workshops, TechZone experiences, and connections with industry professionals.
During the event, Sunset Junior High students participated in workshops covering topics such as robotics, coding, engineering, virtual reality, and biomedicine, and collaborated with peers and mentors during the TechChallenge to solve real-world problems. We are proud of our students for embracing this opportunity to learn, explore, and imagine what’s next.
The students also met Olympic athlete, Shannon Bahrke-Happe.
