On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, members of the Sunset Junior High Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) demonstrated leadership and service by completing a chapter service project focused on student well-being.
NJHS members assembled snack packs containing beef jerky, protein bars, trail mix, and fruit snacks, which were funded by a grant from the National Association of Secondary Principals (NASSP). These packs were donated to the Sundevil Spot in the school’s Family Connection Center, a resource that provides quick, healthy nourishment for students.
The snack packs will help ensure students have access to energy-boosting food during the school day, supporting focus, engagement, and academic success. Through this project, NJHS students reinforced the organization’s commitment to service, responsibility, and caring for their school community.
Sunset Junior High is proud of its NJHS members for their dedication to making a positive difference and supporting fellow students.
